The American Civil Liberties Union says eight police departments in Connecticut currently provide federal immigration officials access to license plate locations of their residence.

The Civil rights group cited an internal ICE listing of 80 local law enforcement agencies nationwide that regularly provide such information, including some so-called "sanctuary cities."

In Connecticut, police departments in Wetherfield, Enfield, and at Southern Connecticut State University are among those sharing license plate information.
