Police: Meriden Woman Killed Trying To Cross Highway

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A Meriden woman was struck and killed Wednesday night as she was attempting to cross Interstate 91 in Wallingford, said state police.

Troopers say Sharon Ryan, 56, was trying to cross the northbound side of the highway near Exit 13 when she was hit by a Toyota Sienna shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Ryan was pronounced dead at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Police continue to investigate.
