MANCHESTER, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut town agency is plastering signs around Manchester in an effort to curb underage drinking in a new campaign.

The Manchester Youth Service Bureau is posting the message "Don't be the one we're talking about the next day" around the town, hoping it casts a unique perspective on the dangers of underage drinking. WVIT-TV reports the campaign is funded through a state grant.

Manchester High School students spent Thursday afternoon putting up magnets with the slogan on lockers around school ahead of Friday's homecoming game.

The Youth Service Bureau says it hopes the campaign encourages teenagers to stand up to the pressures of underage drinking.
