Danbury Federal Inmate Caught Possessing Weapon

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTIC) – A man incarcerated in federal prison will have additional time added onto his sentence for having a weapon in jail.

John Faucher pleaded guilty in Bridgeport federal court to possessing contraband in federal prison.

Faucher, an inmate at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, had an object that was designed or intended to be used as a weapon.

The maximum sentence he could face is five years.

Faucher is currently serving a 46-month sentence for robbing a bank and a convenience store in Manchester, New Hampshire in 2016.

Sentencing is scheduled for October.
