WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTIC) - Wetherfield police are investigating an early morning crash involving one of their police cruisers.

The cruiser and another vehicle collided at the intersection of Griswold Road and Prospect Street around 3am.

Authorities say a police officer and the woman who was driving the other vehicle were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and later released.

Wethersfield Police Chief James Cetran says a Newington officer initially noticed 28-year-old Chelsea Quail acting suspiciously before the eluded that officer.

The chief says the Wethersfield officer pulled out in front of Quail with its lights flashing.

Cetran says for now, Quail is facing a probation but more charges could be in the offing.
