FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTIC) Three more women have come forward with sexual harassment accusations against East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo.

WTNH News 8 spoke to one of the women, Roxanne Melillo, who says Maturo made inappropriate comments about her body in 2011. At that time she was running for town clerk.

Melillo says that Maturo told her that after he won his campaign he would offer her a job, in his office underneath his desk.

Maturo’s Attorney Hugh Keefe issued a statement saying, “Accusations can be made without any basis in fact.”

These new claims come just one week after Maturo settled a sexual misconduct claim by a town reporter for more than $175,000.

The new accusations bring the total number of women who have claimed sexual harassment against the East Haven mayor to four.
