Slight Relief at the Gas Pump Could Continue

July 16, 2018 - 9:41 am

It wasn't much, but gas prices are moving in the right direction.

The average price of a gallon of regular gas fell one penny over the past three weeks, to land at $2.94. That's 63 cents higher than a year ago. Oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says that if crude oil prices don't make a big jump upward, there could be further price relief at the pump. She adds that any price cuts at the pump would likely be modest.

The highest price as always is in San Francisco, at $3.74. The lowest is $2.52 in Baton Rouge.
