(Manchester, Conn./WTIC Radio) - A man is being charged after State Police say he was traveling well over 100 mph as they conducted motor vehicle enforcement along Interstate 384 in Manchester on Monday.

Troopers say they spotted an Acura speeding at 124 mph in a 65 mph stretch near exit 4 on the westbound side.

Police attempted to stop 22-year-old Matthew Milone of Coventry, to no avail.

As he got off the highway at exit 5, police said, motorists pointed in the direction of Milone and his vehicle, which by then was backed into a snowback on Tunxis Trail in the town of Bolton.

Troopers say Milone was in possession of cocaine, marijuana, and rolling papers.

He's facing a half dozen charges, including possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and attempt to elude.

Milone posted a $2,500 and he's due in court in Rockville March 26.
