(Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio) - Governor Dannel Malloy has signed the budget adjustment bill that came out of the legislature last week.

The adjustments cover the coming 2019 fiscal year that begins July 1.

In a letter to lawmakers, Malloy commends the bipartisan effort in which the agreement was reached, highlighting short-term adjustments in the special transportation fund, aid to cities and towns, and non-profits.

Malloy said he's signing the measure with caution, though, adding must focus on fiscal discipline and restraint in the years ahead, noting the state still close the current fiscal year with a nearly $387million shortfall.
