(Hamden, Conn./WTIC) - Hamden police say a vehicle reported stolen out of East Haven crashed into a home in town this morning.

Hamden officers say a little after 9:00 a.m., they were called to North Street on a report of a vehicle having hit a home.

That Ford Escape, police say, had been involved an earlier minor crash at Dixwell Avenue and Arch Street.

Detectives say the driver lost control and wound up hitting the house.

The occupants of the stolen vehicle then fled on foot.

Police say they're described as young black male in a gray shirt and a young black female dressed in red scrubs and carrying a backpack.
