HARTFORD, Conn (WTIC) - Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, a convicted felon who was able to win over city voters after a stint in prison, now has a shot at doing the same thing at the state level.
The Secretary of the State's office said Ganim has collected more than enough signatures needed to appear on the primary ballot along with the party convention-endorsed Ned Lamont last month.
Another petitioning Republican gubernatorial candidate has collected the needed signatures to appear on the ballot, as well. Former hedge fund manager David Stemerman of Greenwich will have his name on the ballot along with four other gubernatorial candidates, including Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, the party-endorsed nominee.
