(Greenwich, Conn./WTIC) - A New York City man is facing charges in connection with a home invasion in Greenwich.

Greenwich police say around 3:00 p.m. last Saturday, they responded to a home on Brook Drive in town on a report of a home invasion robbery.

Officers found the victim bound and bleeding as a result of injuries he suffered in the crime.

The victim informed police that he'd been beaten by a group of armed suspects demanding cash and jewelry.

Detectives say they were able to identify one of the suspects after processing the scene, identified as 46-year-old Hassan Washington.

Washington was picked up Tuesday in New York City as a fugitive.

He's charged with home invasion, kidnapping, assault, larceny and robbery.

Bond was set at $500,000.

Greenwich police say more arrests are expected.
