(South Windsor, Conn./WTIC Radio) - A month long investigation has netted local law enforcement officials an arrest in connection with a large scale marijuana operation in a South Windsor business.

Officers from the East Central Narcotics Task Force was able to determine that packages shipped from Corona, California to Connecticut contained marijuana gummy packets.

One box weighing 80 pounds contained 339 individual packets.

ECNTF secured a warrant for a business listed only as "LNR".

The suspect, 32-year-old Jeremy Freeman, is charged.

Agents say there were four other boxes with nearly 1,600 individual packets.

The candies sell for $25 in California and up to $50 in Connecticut.

Freeman is charged with operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a kilogram marijuana with intent to sell.

Police say Freeman was leasing the space where the packages were delivered.
