A Tree Kills a Man in Naugatuck

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ A man is dead after a tree fell on him Tuesday afternoon in Naugatuck during the height of Tropical Storm Isaias.

Police say the man was moving debris out of the path of his stopped car around 3:34 p.m. in the area of Andrew Mountain Road and Red Maple Court. Police say strong winds forced a tree to fall on the 66-year-old Naugatuck resident. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police have not released his identity pending next-of-kin notification.
