Bookstore Manager Charged With Theft

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - North Haven police have arrested an employee of the local Barnes and Noble bookstore who is accused of stealing from the store.

Police say Samantha Kobuta, 24, of North Haven processed more than 150 bogus returns as manager of the store over a three-month period, totaling about $15,000.

Kobuta was arrested Friday on a charge of second-degree larceny, said police. She was held on $25,000 court-set bond.
