HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Connecticut State Colleges and Universities System has announced plans to resume on-campus learning in the shadow of COVID-19. The plan was announced by system President Mark Ojakian Friday.

Central, Southern, Eastern and Western Connecticut State Universities can start bringing residential and commuter students back to campus August 24th.

Classes will be delivered in a range of on-ground, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible course design models. After Thanksgiving break, the balance of the semester and exams will be online only.

The 12 community colleges can start limited on-campus courses June 1, with in-person fall semester courses also starting August 24th.

Of course, there will be social-distancing and other measures in place, along with a plan to pivot to fully online courses again, if it's required.
