(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection is advising residents of a HIGH forest fire danger in Connecticut today.

Low humidity couple with dry brush could make for ideal conditions to spark brush fires.

DEEP is advising residents to obey local ordinances when it comes to open fires and burning.

In addition, the agency wants residents to make sure any smoking materials are completely extinguished and dispose of hot charcoal safely.

DEEP say relative humidities will be in the teens today with breezy conditions.
