HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State health officials report more cases of severe lung disease, possibly linked to vaping.

The Connecticut Department of Public Health says it has identified three more patients who were hospitalized with severe lung problems possibly linked to e-cigarette use. That brings the total to five.

All five patients became sick in July and August and have now been released from the hospital, DPH said Friday.

State health officials say they're working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other states to pinpoint the cause of the lung problems.

Nationwide, there have been more than 200 cases in 25 states.
