Drug Bust in Putnam

PUTNAM, CT (WTIC Radio)_ State Police with help from area police departments arrested 30-year-old Melissa Carroll of Putnam, CT after they executed a narcotics-related search and seizure warrant on her person and on her home.

A lengthy investigation revealed that carroll was allegedly sellign fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and crack cocaine from her residence.

Police went through with a search warrant on Carroll while she was driving her 2009 Mazda Sedan in Killingly.

On her person, State Police say she was in possession of approximately 95 bags of fentanyl/heroin, as well as 13.5 grams of crack cocaine.

At her house, State Police say that they seized 530 folds of fentanyl/heroin, 45 grams of crack cocaine, and other paraphernalia.

A total of $5,318.00 was confiscated .

Carroll was taken into custody and faces charges of Possession of Narcotics, Operating a Drug Factory, and Failure to Keep Narcotics in the Original Container.

She was held on a $75,000 dollar bond and is to appear at Danielson Superior Court on Thursday, 1/17/19.
