GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Glastonbury police have identified the man killed in an apartment fire Friday night.

Francesco Bertuglia, 59, was killed in the fire that broke out in his unit at 21 Salem Court around 8:30 p.m., police said Monday.

The fire and Bertuglia's death have been ruled accidental, said authorities.

Evidence suggests Bertuglia fell asleep while smoking in bed, said investigators.

The blaze displaced residents of five apartments.
