HAMDEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Hamden police have arrested a state trooper and his wife in connection with a domestic dispute early Sunday.

Police say Dimitrie Bogiatzopoulos, 35, and his wife, Norah Bogiatzopoulos, 36, got into an argument that turned physical.

Both were arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct, said police. The two were due in Meriden Superior Court Monday.

Dimitrie Bogiatzopoulos has been with the Connecticut State Police since 2007. His police powers have been suspended as officials conduct an internal investigation.

Bogiatzopoulos has been relieved of his badge, guns, police identification and cruiser, said authorities.
