Hartford PD: Man Arrested In Arson, Domestic Incident

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) --- Hartford Police arrested a man they say made threatening statements to officers and for setting a house on fire with a female victim inside.

Officials say 41-year-old Kevin Davis made verbal statements related to setting the home at an undisclosed address on fire around 12:30 Saturday afternoon.

A female victim was found unharmed in the building as the Davis tried to flee, police said.

After a brief struggle, Davis was secured and placed under arrested. Around the same time, officers say they noticed smoke billowing out of the building, but city fire officials quickly contained it.

Police also said that two separate fires discovered inside the home were purposely set.

Davis was also reported to be uncooperative and refused to be interviewed in regards to the investigation, according to police.

He is in custody on a $600,000 bond and has a court date of February 4.
