FARMINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Another round of sweltering heat and humidity is forcing several school districts across Connecticut to dismiss early on Tuesday.

West Haven Public Schools and Milford Public Schools announced those plans early Monday.

West Hartford elementary schools will dismiss at 1 p.m., but the high and middle schools will have a full day as scheduled.

Schools in Farmington, Granby, Simsbury, New Britain, Canton and Middletown will also send students home early on Tuesday.

Temperatures are expected to reach and linger in the low to mid-90's for a few days this week.
