(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - There's a change in the date of the second phase of Connecticut's reopening from COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns.

Governor Ned Lamont is moving up the date from June 20 to up June 17.

The reason, Lamont says in a tweet, is to avoid the reopening falling during the busy Father's Day Weekend.

The second phase reopening including indoor dining but no bar service, gyms and fitness centers, movie theaters, nail salons and tattoo parlors, among others.

He says additional guidance will be forthcoming over the next several days.

The governor says his team of health professionals will focus on test results for possible links to the demonstrations that have taken place recently.
