MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The manhunt for the suspect wanted in the fatal stabbing of a woman on Green Street in Middletown has ended in Georgia.

Middletown Police say Georgia officers Wednesday pulled over suspect William Bigaud, 37, during a traffic stop on Interstate 85. Authorities took Bigaud into custody where he will remain until extradition is coordinated.

An extraditable arrest warrant in Connecticut charges Bigaud with murder, home invasion, reckless endangerment, and risk of injury to a minor.
