MERIDEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Meriden officials have identified the human remains found in Waterbury as missing mother, 31-year-old Perrie Mason.

In a news conference Friday afternoon, officials announced their findings just two days after finding the remains Wednesday night.

The Meriden Police Department reported Mason as missing on Monday, August 19, via their Facebook page.

Meriden police arrested ex-boyfriend 38-year-old Jason Watson on charges including strangulation related to an apparent fight the two had the week prior.

WTNH reports Watson is considered a prime suspect in the case, but he has not been officially charged.

Mason's cause of death has not been determined yet. Mason was a mother of two children.
