Plainfield Man Arrested For Driving With Suspended License, Drug Possession

PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) --- Plainfield Police arrested a town resident after he was found driving with a suspended license and in possession of illegal drugs.

Officials say 26-year-old Luis Quintana was pulled over in the area of Norwich Road after being spotted by officers driving a Red Jeep Liberty. His girlfriend and a juvenile daughter were in the vehicle.

Quintana had his license suspended from a prior investigation, according to officials.

After the stop, police and a K-9 conducted a search of the vehicle, were Quintana was found to be in possession of fentanyl. A total of 17 bags was seized, police said.

Quintana was subsequently arrested and charged with Operating Under Suspension, Possession of Narcotics and Risk of Injury to a Minor.

He was later released on a $5,000 bond and given a court date of February 19.
