PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ A man who allegedly went to his girlfriend's house as an unwanted person and confonfronted an officer with a knife is now in custody.

Plainfield Police say Christopher Banker, 28, was intoxicated at 114 Colonial Road around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Banker allegedly got into a domestic dispute with his girlfriend who fled the home before police arrival.

An officer noticed Banker was holding a large kitchen knife while on the deck of the residence. He approached officers and disobeyed commands to drop the weapon. Banker eventually handed the knife over to an officer and was peacefully taken into custody. No injuries were reported.

Banker is being held on a $100,000 bond and multiple charges of assault, strangulation, risk of injury to a minor, possession of a dangerous weapon, and more.
