Police ID Teens Killed In Fiery Crash

BROOKLYN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State police have identified the two teenagers who were killed in a fiery crash in Brooklyn early Monday.

Shawnna Wojnowski, 17, of Plainfield and Brenna Ann Larson, 17, Thompson, were killed when the pickup truck they were in slammed into a guardrail, continued down into a ditch, and caught fire along North Society Road shortly after midnight, said police. The crash occurred near the intersection with Creasey Road.

A third girl, Ashley Adamo, 17, of Pomfret, sustained serious injuries in the crash, and was taken to Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, said troopers.
