Southington Fire Kills Person, Pet

SOUTHINGTON, Conn (WTIC Radio) — Officials are investigating after a Saturday night fire at a Southington residence left one person and a pet dead.

Crews says the fire broke out around 10 p.m. at 640 Prospect St.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The fire also claimed the life of a household pet.

The state fire marshal’s office and Southington Fire Department are helping out with the investigating, officials said.
