State Police Cruiser Among Vehicles Burglarized In Danielson

(Danielson, Conn./WTIC) - State Police say one of their own had his cruiser broken into, among multiple vehicles burglarized over the weekend.

They say troopers responded to numerous reports of vehicle burglaries in the Killingly section of Danielson early on the 4th of July.

One of the vehicles burglarized was a cruiser assigned to a State Police captain.

Officials say among the items taken were an unloaded Bushmaster XM-15 rifle, a plastic container with bullets, a police baton, and a gas mask, among other things.

Investigators say a suspect vehicle used in the break-ins has been identified as a 2018 Audi Q5 believed stolen out of Sturbridge, Massachusetts with the Massachusetts plate number of 58VW87.
