Waste Removal Worker Struck, Injured In Avon

AVON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A worker for a waste removal company was injured Monday morning, while helping a coworker back up a truck.

Police say a vehicle struck the worker for All Waste at the intersection of West Avon Road and Arch Road around 5 a.m. The worker was conscious and alert following the crash. They were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, said police.

Everyone involved in the incident remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, said police.
