MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Wesleyan University in Middletown says the student who fell ill with a fever and cough after traveling to Asia, has tested negative for coronavirus, and is doing well. The student is no longer in quarantine after the good news from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, a university spokesperson told WTIC News.

Meanwhile, in New Haven, test results are not expected until midweek, after a student from China attending Yale's Model United Nations conference, fell ill.. Officials say the student apparently has the flu, but out of an abundance of caution, the conference was cut short by one day.

The conference draws about 1,800 high school students from 40 countries.
