Woman Pronounced Dead After Merritt Parkway Crash

TRUMBULL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - An Easton woman is dead after her SUV collided with a sedan and rolled over on the Merritt Parkway in Trumbull Sunday evening.

State police say Pamela Maestri-Howes was ejected from her Ford Explorer after it made contact with a Mercedes in the right lane, lost control, hit a guardrail, traveled across both travel lanes, and rolled over in the median around 7:15 p.m.

Maestri-Howes was pronounced dead at Bridgeport Hospital. The driver of the car, identified as Joseph Tetu, 26, of Trumbull, complained of minor injuries, but declined medical treatment, said police.
