(North Haven, Conn./WTIC) - North Haven police have arrested a suspect in a robbery at a Home Depot in town today.

They say two men attempted to make off with merchandise a little after 12:30 p.m.

When approached, officers say one suspect pulled a knife, waving it wildly at security.

Both suspects fled on foot before police collared 54-year-old Noel Santiago, who they say fought with them.

He was finally apprehended and booked on robbery, interfering, weapons, shoplifting and other charges, police say.

Santiago is due in court in Meriden tomorrow.

The second suspect fled and is still being sought by police.
