Josh Sandman, professor of political science at the University of New Haven, discusses why President Trump's nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court is so important. Partly due to the fact that Congress is currently deadlocked and the government is not really working. Therefore, the Supreme Court has more importance than it once did. But this is not just specific to Trump's time in office, it was also true during Obama's tenure as well.
